About Us
The Mauritius Higher Education Desk (HiEdu desk), is a one-stop shop for Higher Education in Mauritius. It operates under the aegis of the Ministry of Education, Tertiary Education, Science and Technology. The HiEdu desk acts as a focal point for the dissemination of information and provision of advice to both local and international students on higher education opportunities in Mauritius, Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), courses available, student welfare and counselling, availability of accommodation, cost of living, visa procedures, and other relevant information falling under its ambit.
HiEdu desk inter-alia therefore :
- enhances the visibility of Mauritius as a prime destination for Higher Education;
- guides both local and international students on higher education opportunities in Mauritius;
- provides information about student welfare and well-being in Mauritius; and
- promotes student interaction for integration and cultural awareness.
